drawing - canvas
media playback - audio, video
offline storage -
form controls - calendar, date, time, email, url, search
content specific elements - article, footer, header, nav, section
Few things to note
- html5 spec is still in specification stage
- not all browsers implemented all html5 tags (you can understand why from previous point)
- only few latest browsers support few tags
